The Four County Bank's History
In the summer of 1941, a small group of local businessmen in Allentown
decided to organize a bank. With Allentown being located in four counties, it
was agreed that the new bank should serve this four county area and be named The
Four County Bank. The original seven charter members and directors submitted an
application for a state charter which was approved. The Four County Bank opened
for business September 15, 1941.
The Four County Bank was organized and continues to operate as a community
bank. We enjoy a friendly, courteous and businesslike relationship with our
customers. Our board of directors is comprised of local citizens who are
interested in providing quality banking services and products for all the people
in the area we serve. All decisions are made locally.
Our in-house data processing system allows us to promptly fulfill customer’s
requests for information and gives us the capability to service within the bank
the products we offer.
Our priority is to provide quality service customers expect and at the same
time offer a friendly, personal atmosphere comfortable to all who enter our
bank.
The Four County Bank is a sound and successful financial institution serving
primarily the counties of Twiggs, Wilkinson, Bleckley and Laurens.
We appreciate and welcome the opportunity to discuss our services and
products with all who inquire about our operating policies and procedures.
